Baptism is the Church’s first Sacrament of Initiation. It is a Welcoming into Christ’s Church and the community of Star of the Sea Parish. Star of the Sea celebrates the sacrament of Baptism four times throughout the year at all Masses on Baptism Weekends. This is a two-part class. Parents must attend the two classes, two weeks in a row, prior to the child’s Baptism.

Parents requesting a Baptism must be registered parishioners, complete a Sacrament Request Form and attend Baptism Preparation Classes prior to the child’s Baptism. For class dates see above.
The two-part Parent Baptism Preparation Class is offered four times a year on two consecutive Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. If you are interested in having your child baptized, please email Nancy Liette or call the Parish Office at 757-428-8547.
