Food is one of our most basic needs. We can’t live for long without it, and when we are in need of it, our bodies let us know with a hunger that can be nearly impossible to ignore. This beautiful clip from “Presence: The Mystery of the Eucharist” captures the expectation Mother Miriam had to behold the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as a young Jewish child before her conversion to Catholicism. On the day she was accepted into the Catholic Church, she recalls how that sense of expectation was fulfilled in the Eucharist.
Join us on May 24th as we continue our journey of truly embracing the Eucharist as our Meal. As indispensable as material food is to our physical life, the Eucharist is even more vital to our spiritual life. It sustains and strengthens us for our life’s journey.
Please mark your calendars for our next event: May 24th: The Eucharist as a Meal!
